Over the course of digging deep in this subreddit and talking with almost every single individual in the game,I have compiled a list of all the lore that I found.Please know I'm sure I missed some stuff,so consider the list incomplete and I will try to keep it updated.If you know any bit of lore that I missed,please tell me in the comment and I will add it in.Also if you have any theories that you would like to share,don't hesitate to share them in the comments.It's fun to make up theories in my opinion.I'll probably play through the game again to discover more bits of lore later.

1.Beatrice at one point makes a very vague description of On High saying it’s a very “beautiful" and “orderly" place.
2.Sinner’s food is made up of synthetic materials that provide simple energy and DHMO source. The food itself does not contain any taste or stimulations. Food productions and used materials are all highly classified. However, black markets such as the Fueling Station sell rare food items illegally such as sugar, alcohol, sodium chloride and etc.
3.The reason why Uwe and Elfriede have their own glove type weapons is because they have gotten the proper entitlements in order to use it.It’s possible to get your own glove type weapons,but all the entitlements to use that weapon have been taken by other sinners sadly.
4.Citizens are genetically engineered to be short because they take up less resources that way.Because of their short size and lack of strength,they are highly unlikely to defend themselves in an attack.The plus side about all this is that are easy to carry in citizen reclamation operations.
5.Sinners on the other hand are genetically engineered for combat.They are faster,stronger,and more resilient to physical pain and stress than citizens.However,sinners are not described as being very smart since they’re only being bred for combat and nothing else.
6.Retribution victims are not random.They only go after Panopticons that are starting to pose a threat to On High.Most of the the time,the Panopticons are just barely functional and not completely razed.Sometimes they are like what happened to Hourai.
7.The official name for the little black boxes behind your sinner is Willo generator and Willo alternator.The sinner's weapons,combat items and Willo energy required for thorn use is stored here.Whenever the sinner wants a weapon,the Willo generator releases these Willo particles that take shape and form the weapon,complete with its different stats that are recorded inside the Willo generator.This is why every time when you switch weapons,you see this little blue smoke around the weapon for a brief moment.It also has the capability to create and store its own Willo energy.How it does this,I don't know.This also implies that the ammo itself is made out of Willo,but why do you need to refill ammo periodically when the Willo generator can create an infinite amount of Willo,I don’t know.It is also possible to have more than two attached to your back during combat,but doing so is a violation of the People's Charter and you would be severely punished. According to the Retribution cutscene shown in CODE 2 and witness reports from Hal and Ann after you defeat the Ramosa,it is very painful if the Willo generator is forcibly ripped off a sinner's back.The reason why it's painful is because your body constantly emits a Willo signature that the Willo generators are very attracted to allowing it to stick to your back similar to the force of magnetism.Hal says he had Ann try to take off his Willo generator after hearing the screams of pain from other sinners when the Warriors from On High ripped off theirs.He described it as bein incredibly painful and unbearable.How you safely take it off,I don't know that one either.
8.Beatrice gives us another fact about On High saying that On High teaches its students that "humanity is a seething pit of greed and violence and who steal technology from the manifestations of the Fallen”(maybe not the exact words,but the meaning is still the same.).
Theory 1. I think I may have figured out who the Fallen are.They’re simply On High residents who didn’t agree with On High and came down to the surface to live in the Panopticons.For one,doesn’t the name transition make sense?You were On High,but now you are Fallen?Sylvia also supports this name transition by telling Beatrice in an argument that a certain individual warned her before leaving On High that Cesare and Beatrice may have “fallen”.
Theory 2. If theory 1 does hold any credibility,then Beatrice has just told us in Fact 8 that On High residents were the first ones to create Abductors.This could mean that the abductors that we’re most familiar with,the all purpose bipeds,the all purpose quadrupeds,the artillery variants all came from the Three Prototypes.We already know Red Rage was one of them and he obviously resembles the all purpose bipeds.Since he was an original model from long ago,the other two prototypes must be a quadruped and artillery variant.The story on the origins of these three abductor types could have gone something like this:The Fallen could have originally made the Prototypes to protect themselves in the war between the Panopticons and from On High should they ever try to take them back again.The Panopticon officials saw these things in action during a battle and wanted to make their own versions to fight other Panopticons.They set out to make their own versions that did the same things as the Prototypes,but were weaker in durability because of the differences in materials.The Panopticons would go on to improve the designs as they got access to better materials which is why we have Mk.1-Mk.4 type.
9 It is possible for sinners and citizens to enter relationships,but they only can do so with the Panopticon’s approval and with whoever the Panopticon picks out for them.
Theory 3.Simeon could have been the first of the Fallen as mentioned by Sylvia in one of the CODE 8 cutscenes as you kill her with the Exodus that Simeon gave you.So that means Simeon may have been responsible for the Three Prototypes and for the Pelatatum boss fight.Why the Peltatum boss fight?It’s because if you ever gather any of the parts from Pelatatum and look at those parts in your inventory afterwards,the game would classify them as “Abductors(On High)” parts.Even though where Pelatatum and the other variants(Oltatum,C-Type Radion Blinding Light Alpha) came from initially is still a mystery,it does seem clear to me that it came from On High.Whether On High has things like this up there or this is Simeon’s original creation is still a mystery.
10.The C-Type Radion Blinding Light Alpha is the only abductor where the Panopticon’s variant is stronger than the On High version.
11.As revealed by a citizen in CODE 8,Accessories are not entirely robotic.They are actually cyborgs with a mixture of robotic and organic parts.This is further supported by the fact that whenever you wanted to change your sinner and accessory,you would select an option called "Request Physical Remodeling”.Whenever you wanted to change a physical feature about yourself or for your accessory,they would find a dead sinner,cut it into different parts,cut off the part on your body or your accessory's that you wanted to change and replace it with the new part that you wanted.The device on the accessory's neck is a speakeartificial vocal cord.There's even a + and - buttons to adjust the volume of their voice.Very resourceful I must say.

Theory 4. Sinners are only allowed to eat scraps because of being seen as the lowest of the low whereas everyone else gets something decent to eat.It is shown over and over in the game especially at the lower CODE levels that sinners are the most oppressed individuals in the whole Panopticon.
13.The headphones on your sinner's head has more purpose than making you look cool.It is used for communications with your teammates and is also where the awesome battle music comes from as confirmed by the music lover,Leon, in between the Fraternity member and the jukebox at the Fueling Station when he says "These headphones we wear aren't solely for communicating with comrades or listening to announcements from the authorities,you know.".
Theory 5.Simeon's main goal is to bring the downfall of On High through the Great Transformation.This is proven by a quote when he offers you the four paths.When talking about The Path of Alliance,he says,"My ultimate aim is to bring about the downfall of On High.I believe that in doing so,the madness that infects this world can be brought to an end."When the player chooses The Path of Alliance,Simeon quotes that this would allow the player to "do battle with On High and succeed." further proving that he hates On High. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 14.Not a fact about the in game world or lore exactly,but Freedom Wars had a book released exclusively in Japan and a fair bit of merchandise and advertising.Links to the book I found are here and the merchandise and advertising are here.
15.A sinner’s daily schedule starts from 4:00-12:00 where contribution starts, 12:00-13:00 is break time, 14:00-22:00 continue for contribution and finally 22:00-4:00 sleeping hours. Technically you work for 16 hours straight a day as an average sinner.
16.There is actually toilet in each sinner’s cell; it’s the square panel at the right side of the bed. You can’t open it in the game, however.
17.Accessories is not only created for overseeing sinner’s activity and as a mission partner, but also as some “person” that a sinner can depends on, in other words, someone to place their affections like love, someone to grow attach to as sinner that has no rights to like or love other sinners unless the Panopticon officials grant them those rights.
18.Simeon and Aries are once human, they exist before the Panopticon era and it was Simeon who creates the power source Will’O.
19.Aries. M’s design is inspired by the Aries constellation, while her personality is based on a cat.
20.The golden color zippers used for the pouch bag that Julien wears are made of pure gold, according to canon.
21.Willo thorns are actually made of materialized Willo similar to how your weapons are made.
22.A couple of times in the story,some of the NPCs will mention that each person in the game emits their own Willo signature.I'm not quite sure what this means.
Theory 6.I think I may have figured out how the Willo generators create their own Willo energy.Your body itself creates a special Willo signature which to me seems comparable to chi.I'm guessing the Willo generators have the power to convert this signature to usable Willo energy which can explain why it constantly recharges on the battlefield.This can also explain why the Willo generators are stuck to a sinners back through a force similar to magnetism.It's because the generators are constantly looking for a Willo signature source that it can convert into pure Willo energy.However since I couldn't find any evidence supporting this,I can't say that this is completely true,but it is something to think about.
23.The Fraternity get some of their merchandise by scavenging battlefields after a fight.If you talk with the Fraternity member in the Fueling Station when you're at CODE 2,he will tell you what happened to your old accessory in the beginning cutscene.After you got crushed by the abductor,your old accessory got crushed afterwards.After the battle,the Fraternity came and took your accessory,fixed it up,and sold it to another Panopticon.He also mentions that "We got a lot of very brainy people workin' for us,you see..." suggesting that many citizens work with the Fraternity as well.
24.Accessories also appear to be called Eudaemonic Facilitation Units.
25.The Utopedia is a database inside the Panopticon that houses all information pertaining to the Panopticon itself and all of its personnel.
26.Percy Propa is also known as an Ultra-High-Spec Multi-Purpose Administrative Assistant.
27.The Fraternity hints at the fact that it sells and buys more than black market items.They also pay and sell valuable information for all personnel in the Panopticon.It's a pretty popular business that many sinners often do.They are rewarded with years off their sentence and some nice resources.
28.As hinted by Hal,it seems like sinners get slightly better things to eat as they move up the CODE ladder when he says, Apparently,sinners with higher CODE Clearance are allowed to drink all kinds of other weird and wonderful things.".
29.Cell Gardens are also know as General Purpose Movable Cell Arrays.
30.According to Ann,there is a huge Willo field that surrounds the Panopticon that will sometimes affect the eyes of any residents and cause them to see things that aren't really there.What is the purpose of this,I don't know.
31.Julien at one point tells us what Willo actually is by saying,"Willo technology involves turning electron ensembles into Bose condensates that have certain fixed properties.This is done by converting the Kulkarni-Askalonov field-a vector field which resembles the human nervous system-into energy,doing angular motion within a Willo particle.Doing this allows us to create an energy field whose properties are based on human volition-the will of people."Translated to the best of my abilities,Willo is a complicated energy source that is controlled by the will of a human being hence the name "Will"o.This could possibly mean that when your sinner changes weapons or launches a thorn on the battlefield,some Willo energy are taken from the Willo generators and are converted into materialized Willo to take the shape of anything the sinner wants if the sufficient blueprints are inside the Willo generators.
32.Julien also goes on to say,"Willo technology has a huge range of applications.It can be used to craft weapons that have elemental effects,or build incredibly efficient energy reactors.Because of this,it seems that Willo is the dominant energy source in the game and they're no alternatives.
33.The Fueling Station is confirmed to be selling black market goods according to Silvana,the citizen that works for Jiro,the barman who owns the Fueling Station.The story goes like this: One day,a Fraternity member named,Lars who is always seen inside the Fueling Station, comes with a bunch of Fraternity members and try to take over the Fueling Station.Jiro is rightfully pissed and it scares the Fraternity members and who instead of ransacking the place into a place to sell black market goods,they strike a deal.Jiro agrees to sell the Fraternity goods and in exchange,he gets a discount on buying goods from them.
34.Carlos was a pretty bad guy even before he betrays the protagonist.He tried to undermine an alliance between your Panopticon and nog.Luckily,it backfired which is why he spends a lot of time in your Panopticon.
35.Nina mentions while discussing battle tactics with you that the Panopticon supplies sinners with high-spec armor.She doesn't mention anything else.
Theory 7. Could it be possible that the "high-spec armor" is just a Willo field that surrounds and protects you?It could explain why when sinners and accessories heal you,they have to use a huge bolt of Willo energy to do it.They're doing it to jumpstart the Willo generator so that it can create more armor.If theory number 6 is true,then we know that dead sinners cannot create any more Willo energy for the Willo generator to convert and so that means no more armor or "regenerating health".Kinda far fetched,but not entirely impossible.
38.Panopticon security systems depend on a person's Willo signature to detect if a person is friend or foe according to Julien.
39.According to Fiorina,the citizen that works for Gelasy in Zakka,when you tell your facilities to make a weapon,they're not actually making a physical weapon.They are just making a blueprint that is filled with information about the weapon that is stored in the Willo generators which can explain how they fit in their.The alternator is filled with a special type of Willo energy called Willo ferrofluid which can take the shaped of the weapon with all its stats according to the Blueprints within.
40.The Central Records Directorate is one of the branches of the Utopedia that houses information about all personnel living in the Panopticon according to Julien.
41.The reason why Hourain,Magallanican,Xanduvian,and Lemurian sinners dress alike is because the Panopticons for these sinners say it keeps them focused in the fight and can easily identify fellow comrades.
42.A couple of articles of the People's Charter are mentioned inside the game by a scared sinner named Paula.Article 60164 of the People's Charter states that all inhabitants of the Panopticon have absolute freedom of thought and conscience as prescribed by the precise rules and regulations laid down in the People's Charter.Article 49181 of the People's Charter states that that the People's Charter grants all inhabitants the freedom to have absolute faith in its higher wisdom.Inhabitants of the Panopticon shall obey no authority beyond the law which is prescribed by the People's Charter.Article 114504 of the People's Charter grants inhabitants the freedom to bask in everyone's collective joy and prosperity.All inhabitants of the Panopticon possess the freedom to maximize their individual joy and prosperity as prescribed by the People's Charter.
44.Carlos mentions that Nina and Kai both came from On High as well.Since he is an individual that tends to lie and trick you a lot,I cannot say if this is true or not.
45.The Panopticon's got their first weapons by severing parts off of On High abductors according to Sergio.This suggests that On High were the first ones to make a lot of the stuff we see in the game.
46.Tasties are a special kind of food usually sold by the Fraternity to make food taste better and are incredibly valuable.
47.Shizuka was raised by a well to do family and used to work as a tutor,teaching young kids philosophy and language.Shizuka was always fascinated by language because of the possibility to tell very convincing lies.
48.Marie was a very sick and feeble child growing up.A group of people (she does not mention sinners or citizens or Panopticon officials) took care of her all her life despite the hardships.Because of this,she feels that she needs to repay them by contributing as much as she can.
49.Silvana mentions that she and Fiorina are sisters.Fiorina did some bad things and because of this,they are forced to work for Jiro and Gelasy.Even though they were forced into working for them,they still enjoy it and are happy that it wasn't anything too bad.
50.Shizuka tells us that the Arcadia Panopticon knew a lot of things about Willo that no other Panopticon ever knew about before it was destroyed by the Great Loss,a catastrophic event where millions of people and the Panopticon itself vanished,plunging the world to even more chaos and disorder.
51.Lars mentions that there's either a high ranking branch or an entirely new organization called the Cartel which is well respected and only for the best of the best.The Cartel are responsible for everything from selling to production of goods and sets the price of "white stuff"(So-Chlo?).
52.The Committee for the Greater Good send messages through binary codes to your accessory which your accessory translates to tell you the messages.While it's difficult,it's possible to hijack these messages and give completely new orders through them.
Reset_Tears has sent me another link to Kei's tumblr page where she translated even more facts from the Freedom Wars guide book.I'm too tired to put them in now,so I'll just link it here.
P.S. I remember from reading deep down in this subreddit that someone was going around saying that because of translation errors,On High is known by a different name and are NOT called On High.The user did not go into specifics on what the real name was.So if you know Japanese and can confirm that On High are known by a different name through in game dialogue or other official sources,I would be very grateful for that.

SvsT Idea Board and Thoughts on the Update

Snipers vs Thieves Extended - [ELITE]-=Deadshot=-
P.S. Editing finished to as far as I can get it; enjoy the read ;) ========================================================== Before I go into any ideas, looking at the update, I will admit to not enjoying it as much as I used to with some of the decisions that have been made. To start, I'm OK with keys going, mainly because people would only buy the higher crates at the time, but as far as the Loot Crates go, I have the following stats:
Bronze Old - 24 Commons (24 tokens) = 4 Gold Bronze New - 1 Mask/Mod, +3 Rares, +15-33 Tokens (36 tokens) = 25 Gold
Silver Old - 24 Rares, 48 Commons (72 tokens) = 8 Gold Silver New - 1 Mask/Mod, +18 Rares, +32-52 Tokens (70 tokens) = 75 Gold
Gold Old - 16 Epics, 48 Rares, 96 Commons (160 tokens) = 16 Gold
Gold New - 1 Mask/Mod, +8 Epics, +48-79 Tokens (87 tokens) = 200 Gold
Isn't that inflation an bit excessive? £5.49 for one Gold Loot Crate? The reason why people didn't buy the others was because they offered much less value than the highest offer, and you could get that way too quickly, but now no-one will buy them because they are way too expensive for the same, if not less than the original. And yes, although I'm comparing these loot crates to key crates and I understand the incentive to play for them rather than buy them straight up, this still takes it a little too far. Ideally, I would be asking for half of those prices; 15 for a Bronze, 35 for a Silver and 100 for a Gold and if you put a Gold offer up, increase the amount of tokens to around 56-110 and allow a small chance for a Super Mod. This is also taking into consideration that you will always be guaranteed a mask or mod, which is nice, but remember that the chance of getting one you want is random luck.
Then there was the timing of the update; as you know by a few posts already, releasing a game-changing update in the middle of a competitive season is never a good idea; in fact it has been known to ruin the profit stream of many businesses, so you should always take it into consideration with fair use policies. Luckily, this game is still in it's beta (or at least the title says so), so there is a little room to make mistakes here and there, but if it moved on to the full game, that could be it for the entire business. So, my recommendation would be; as soon as you sussed out what your costs will be, fixed and optimised the interface and moved it forward to the real game, announce another reset and refund scheme, just like when the Beta Masks came out, and don't make any more mistakes you could regret taking in the meantime.
Finally, I want to mention about the matchmaking, referencing to OakenBarrel here. Despite being an extremely good sniper at level 40 that has been consistently hitting Elite Rank every season, I am deciding to not play in the last week of the competition; it clearly isn't fair for level 13 players that have worked hard for Elite Rank from purely being active to be battered by level 50 players that will one shot you whenever they see you even move out from behind your first bit of cover. From the old matchmaking, I was fine with facing level 40s of my own level, with the occasional overlevelled player, because when I faced that odd player, it gave me a fair challenge. But with the way that things stand, what adding the season rank has done is only help the pro players; it doesn't help the new players out at all. So recommendations for this is to either base people on how many times they reached and finished in Elite Rank for past seasons, which means it gets relatively harder by skill progression every season you succeed in, or simply roll back the matchmaking section of the update entirely.

General Rank Progression Changes:
The Level Cap increase is made to compensate for all of the content available in this extension. This does not affect the Powerup levels; they will stay at level 10 to make conversions easier. I also heard a couple of people suggest to have separate ranks for Snipers and Thieves individually, but I feel that may be a little too complicated to take in.
New Masks: Along with these masks are Challenge masks which are unlocked through the time you play the game. These masks include;
The Fruit Collection (Pineapple, Dragonfruit, Grapevine, Turnip, Blueberry, Orange)
The Gangster Collection (Sharky, Wolf Pack, Pug Life, Small Fry [Tuna], Long Faced Larry [Horse], Big Grizzly)
Spec Ops Collection [Challenges] (Deadshot, Ace of Spades, Ol' Painless, Bandanaman)
Donald Trump [Add to POTUS] (from the description of the game in the Google Play Store)
New Selling Feature:
A quality of life change that is being added is the ability to sell Mods for both Snipers and Thieves for cash; Super Mods can be sold for gold. Exchanges are;
Bronze Mods - $5-8k each
Silver Mods - $7-12k each
Gold Mods - $9-16k each
Super Mods - 20 Gold each
Chat Improvements and Friends System:
To improve the current chat, there needs to be a button that can view a chat history of previous comments,* while keeping the main scrolling chat bar there for quick reading on the go. This could also be useful for messages that are simply too long to even fit on the scroll bar. In turn, to prevent spamming, there will need to be a 200 character limit on text you write in.
Then through this is the friend system, where every play is given a uniquely generated tag to use. You can add friends through the chat menu, on the loading screen or by typing their tag. Once you are friends with someone, you can heist alongside them like any other cartel member. The tag system will also be useful for recovery issues with customer support as alternate evidence if needed.
Adding an Achievements button:
This will probably be the best option to add in the meantime while we focus on additional fixes, because at the moment, it looks as if something should go where the loot keys used to be. The achievement section should hold everything you can encounter in the 'Challenge' sections for both the Sniper and the Thief, including some general challenges alongside that.
Extend and Improve the Black Market:
Prior to the Key removing update, I have seen the new interface for the Black Market, but it doesn't really appeal to me or some players to how it looks. Again, I'm OK with the style you chose with it, but I feel like it could do with an overhaul with the content, which some of these suggestions;

New Sniper Types:
- Bolt Action
These snipers are for high risk, high reward players who want to get closer to getting that one shot kill. Fires a single shot like the Semi Auto variant with reduced recoil and increased damage, but suffers by shifting viewkick to pull back the bolt after every shot and very limited ammo, sometimes down to only one shot.
Stat Comparison - Damage+, Zoom+, Accuracy+, Stability+, Fire Rate-, Clip Size-, Reload-, Recoil-
Your pull back viewkick is based on the Stability Stat, where the height is similar to that of taking recoil.
- Burst Fire
These snipers are more reliable to gather a hit, but require multiple to be effective. Fires a stream of three bullets per trigger pull with reduced recoil and damage, but bullet recoil accumulates and adds up higher than the Semi Auto variant. Unlike the Bolt Action, these rifles hold a lot of ammo to make up for their abysmally small damage profile.
Stat Comparison - Accuracy+, Fire Rate+, Clip Size+, Stability+, Damage-, Zoom-, Reload-, Recoil-
The Fire Rate is displayed for the entire burst, including the burst delay. The Burst Delay is 1/3 of the Fire Rate Stat.
New Sniper Mod:
- Ammo Mods
These mods will always guarantee a big helping hand in filling up your magazine, even from the bronze upgrades. Every Mod from this class will carry extra ammo and reload upgrades. The mod stats are;
Bronze, Bitesize Ammo Mod - +6% Reload Speed, +1 ammo
Silver, Helix Ammo Mod - +13% Reload Speed, +2 ammo
Gold, Ballistic Ammo Mod - +20% Reload Speed, +3 ammo
New Sniper Powerups:
- Hammerhead Ammo (Uses: 2-4)
Increases the size of the bullet in return for damage reduction. Think of this as a hybrid between Caltrops and Big Head Ammo.
'Made with the toughest of sharks in one bitesized package!'
Max Damage: 84-433, Size Increase: 180%-450%
- Static Ammo (Uses: 3-5)
Fires an energised shot that chains onto multiple thieves in close proximity, stunning them and dealing increasing damage per thief.
'Nothing beats the relief of putting your money-ridden fingers in the toaster!'
Max Damage: 60-309x'n', Effect Radius: 2.7-5.4m, Stun Duration: 0.5-2 seconds

Stat Comparison - Capacity-, Toughness+, Drip Rate-, Weight+
Resistance is based on the Toughness Stat, where a 0.2 stat reduces 20% of damage.

New Maps:
Long Range map based on the airstrip of CashFlow Airlines where the thieves have robbed to stock exchange and are planning their big escape.
The thieves will start in the main hub and end at the cargo bay of their plane where the van is raring to go. The sniper will be located at the air traffic control tower with clear lines of sight of the airstrip.
From the sniper's view, the airport hub can be see on the left with the stock exchange hangar up ahead. There will be a plane at it's fuelling station in the middle between the sniper and the thieves that can be used as an alternate route. You can walk along the hub walkway towards the entrance of the plane where you can walk down the stairs into open land, to then use crates and luggage for cover. You can also go around the plane and across the airfield next to some tire walls in attempt to take a flanking route. All of this leads to a second plane on the right with the van waiting to go inside of the cargo bay.
Long Range map based in a private executive hideout where the thieves managed to gather vital Intel about some upcoming gadget blueprints that could make them big bucks.
The thieves will start in the lower floor of the estate and end at the edge of a cliff face, where the van will be located. The sniper will be located down a long forest path on top of a water cooling tower, which will also be a place where you can see the sniper before the game starts.
From the sniper's view, the estate is on the highest point of the map and the road they have to follow to the cliff uses trees and concrete walls for cover. There are also two alternate routes they can take; one is through a ladder into a bunker with a functional door and the other is out of the back and down a narrow footpath, completely shrouded by trees. The cliff and van are located on the right side of the map, or on the side of the footpath.
Short Range map based in a top secret CDC at the top of a skyscraper in the city centre, next to a multi-storey car park.
The thieves start by going out of an elevator and need to head across one of the skybridges towards the car park, where the van will be located. The sniper will be on an adjacent skyscraper facing the glass windows of the heist.
From the sniper's view, you can see two different towers; the higher one on the left is the CDC and the lower one on the right is the car park. The thieves start at the top of three visible floors, all of which have glass balconies, which they need to make their way down by either simply jumping or taking the stairs towards the skybridges. There are two you can take; either the near or far entrances, both of which have considerable amounts of cover. They both lead to a single visible level of the car park where the van is at the very end, next to an exit ramp. The path the sniper will see the thieves take should be pretty much an L shape.
Medium Range map on the sunny coastlines next to the city, featuring open spaces and plenty of scenery.
The thieves come out of a regular bank and need to make their way across a massive public park, which is now littered with trucks and empty markets, toward the van across the road. Despite all of the buildings being deserted, there will still be vehicles driving around the ring road surrounding the park. The sniper will be firing from the roof of the pier alongside it.
Just so that we get a change of pace here; from the thief's view, you exit the bank towards a busy zebra crossing with cars passing through it, which offers a straight path, but there are also 2 separate ways you can take each flank. From the left is your shoreline, where you can go along the path towards the wall that separates the road from the seaside. You can go either side of this wall, where the closest just allows you to see your head as you sprint between posts and the furthest has rocks you can use for cover. For reference, the sniper will also be on the left. On the right, you take the path towards a line of restaurants, where you can use the ground floor tables as cover, or go upstairs to jump across open balconies. In the middle path, there is a completely open area with path's coming in from all directions towards a statue of a thief raining down his money. All paths should lead to a building complex on the other side of the park, where the van will be parked towards the entrance of the pier alongside it.
Reintroduction to showing the heist's total pay out after each game:
This was a neat feature that got included in the beta that helped see how much everyone else carried over and I feel that having this feature back could help bring up the team spirit in cartels or in pretty much every match. The end screen when they are in the van can stay the same because it is a simple overview of what happened in the game, but before that, it can still provide a good sense of achievement without getting overly envious.
Thieves will now get +2 Stars if they and their cartel members/friends make it to the van:
Again, this is to improve the team ethic and bring an extra use to the friend system. The multiplayer aspects of these heists and the humour it provides is what keeps players playing the game (unless you want to be grinding for masks, which isn't a problem), and by enhancing it will turn it into a near perfect heist game.

What are you replacing it with? Feel free to take my notes as suggestions for operations which I hope are [easily] possible with whatever mechanism replaces this. I don't think we'll be encouraging plugins at all, it's not something we believe is part of the web. It was a necessary evil back in the 90s, but browsers can do pretty much anything a plugin is capable of these days.

Hm... not sure I agree with that sentiment. I'm no fan of plugins in most cases, but it seems like there are quite a few businesses which use them for various reasons, and you might be closing off a large part of the market without the feature. They'll still be able to install plugins — it's just that we are not going to go out of our way to convince you to install the plugin — that's their job. ;)

I am a user of google chrome. what would make me switch to firefox? Firefox is built by Mozilla, a non-profit organization who's mission is to make the web better, more open, and more accessible, for everybody.
We have no interest in making money off of you. We're interested in making your web experience better, safer, and more secure.
If a choice came to us where we had to choose between making boatloads of money, or making things better for our users, we would 100% always choose making things better for our users. Every time.
If we had shareholders, they'd probably crap themselves. That's why we don't have them, and will never have them.
So, I guess there's my pitch. Our browser is built for you, and not as a vehicle to make us money. We'll never compromise on your safety, privacy, or security.

Now lets talk on the technical side, Why switch from chrome to Firefox from a technical point of view? There are a couple of angles on this. First of all, we're 100% open source. You can read all of Firefox's source code. Every byte in the compiled binary is public for you to gawk at. And help with.
Chrome is not this way. The Chromium project, which Chrome is based on, is open-source, but then they take the Chromium code, pump in some other things that are closed (their own home-brew of Flash, and some other stuff), and that's what becomes Chrome.
Other technical reasons...our add-on ecosystem is far richer, and our add-ons framework is far more powerful... we tend to use less memory than Chrome (I'm serious) since we don't copy the process per tab...
There are more reasons I could list, but I also have a huge backlog of questions to answer. :)
Whose mission* I stand corected.
I love Firefox, and it is my primary choice for browsing. The one feature that bothers me though is that if I want to go to Private Browsing (Ctrl+Shift+P), my current window disappears. This can be annoying especially when I have a video open and when I get back to normal browsing it starts from the beginning and not where I left it. Have you thought about changing this practice so that a private browsing page opens completely on a new window? Thanks. Why is there no Windows 64 bit version of Firefox? 64bit Firefox isn't a priority, as there are few benefits, and it's alot of work when there are other, large and more important projects to work on. 32bit Firefox runs well on 64bit windows for the time being.

Hey guys. Long time Firefox user but it is a bit of a memory hog. Any plans to slim it down? Yep, we've been tracking that, and have made some improvements. Of course, if you have the memory, doesn't it make sense to trade some higher memory usage for better speed?
We are always working on improving memory usage in Firefox (we have a team called memshrink working on it in every release). Have you tried Firefox 19 after a Firefox Reset?
We've been slimming down Firefox a lot in recent months - we call it the MemShrink project.
And we've been making pretty decent strides! See areweslimyet.com for a graph of our progress.
I should also point out that add-ons are almost always the first suspect when it comes to memory leaks and consumption. We've made that a bit better in recent versions of Firefox (since Firefox 15\).
At the moment, Firefox generally does better on memory than any of the other browsers in independent tests. So yes, it's a lot better these days, and we keep working on it! Check out the MemShrink project.

Will there be an option to turn of curvy tabs for those who don't want it? One of the reasons I switched from chrome to FF was because I prefer the current look of the tabs in FF 18. I'm sure somebody will develop a theme to switch you back. Without fail, when we introduce something, somebody in the community introduces an add-on that will switch you back. ;)
But that person will not be me - I'm biased, but I quite like the new tabs.
Have to use? Are you limited in what version of Flash you can use? Yes. The NPAPI version. IE does ActiveX, Chrome does Pepper.
Hey, not really much of a poster, but I love Firefox and as a graduating senior (related to this field), I figured I might get in on the act. What do you guys see as the single most important thing a person trying to get into the UX field can do to better themselves? Experience.
Build a product with someone, put everyday people in front of it, and watch it fall apart as they try to use it. Then, iterate until it doesn't. :)
Have a design process that you are able to communicate clearly to others. Even better if your design process is research-driven. :)
Why doesn't audio go through the browser as a middle-man so the browser knows which tabs are blaring music, etc? (And so you could mute a tab). Because Flash.

Because the NPAPI that Flash uses to hook into Firefox doesn't allow for this.
And we could spend resources altering the API and convincing Adobe to change Flash to work with it (unlikely)...

Are any of you guys working on Firefox OS? I've contributed a teeny-tiny thing to Firefox OS, but that was just in my spare time.
If so how do you feel about jumping into this field as its a huge undertaking! I don't want to speak for the whole community, but I think it's safe to say that we're pumped. According to some of the old hands in the community, this feeling very much resembles the one we had before diving into the desktop browser world, and taking on IE. Gonna disrupt mobile and open it up. Feels good.
A sign of a close-interlinked company. IMO, more accurately, the sign of a vibrant, healthy, exciting community. Community > company.
An explicit goal for Firefox OS is to run well on low-end hardware.
INTEGRATED VOLUME CONTROL!!!? I would PAY for that! So would we! Unfortunately, it's pretty hard to do when Flash works the way it does.
I believe currently the entire interface currently uses CSS to mimic the native platforms UI. This is only partly true. Yes, we define the interface using the XUL language and CSS, but for certain things, we defer to the operating system to tell us how to draw things.
For example, I'm working on getting the tabs into the titlebar on OSX. The titlebar that we're using in this build is a XUL hbox with the -moz-appearance CSS property (non-standard) set to -moz-window-titlebar.
When we do that, we signal Gecko's widget layer that we want this to look like the native titlebar, and the code responsible for Cocoa widgetry takes care of painting that for us.
The same is true with things like progress bars. Those are XUL progressmeters, but we're definitely not drawing those ourselves.
The upshot about this is that we can (usually) use the same XUL across each platform, and then let the CSS and widgetry layer define how we paint it.
Things like scrollbars and bounce behaviours are pretty hard, but we're getting there. We've recently hired more Cocoa talent to work on this stuff, so you might start seeing it sooner rather than later.
Speaking of, if you're interested in trying tabs in the titlebar on OSX, a demo version should be appearing in tomorrow's UX Nightly builds...

Install a tracking cookie that alerts you to when I try do download another browser and then makes me click a whole bunch of "are you sure?" windows. Good idea. Maybe throw in a toolbar too. :D.
I have to restore last session to get my tabs to reopen. Ah, you mean that if there's a stray window and you close what you think is the last window, you lose your session. There is a timer (I believe) that is supposed to fix that, so have you experienced it lately?
If i somehow miss a stupid popup window (why do some websites still use those fucking things?) when closing firefox i lose that session, its annoying as all hell. If/when that happens, you can access the History menu (via the Firefox button in the top left on Windows or the menu bar on OS X) and reopen your window(s) from the Recently Closed Windows sub-menu.
I understand that your main source of revenue is referral fees from the search bar at the top right of the page. I like google as my search engine. I'm wondering, if I set my homepage (or go) to google and search from their bar directly, does Mozilla still get the referral fee? No, you have to use either the built-in search box, enter your search in the URL bar, or use our built-in home page (about:home). At least as far as I know, I'm not on the business development team. :)

What kind of user testing do you guys do? Do you do in-lab studies, field work, focus groups? Hi! I'm a Senior UX Researcher at Mozilla.
We use a huge range of user research techniques. The primary ones that we use (in no particular order):
Qualitative, ethnographic interviews in the field (esp. in participants' home or office)
Diary studies.
Quantitative surveys.
Studies of user behavior using Test Pilot and Micropilot
User testing.
In terms of how we implement and use these techniques, we prefer to use multiple techniques within a single project (for example, a series of qualitative interviews, a diary study, and a quantitative survey). Using multiple approaches, allows us to answer questions that we can't answer with only one technique. Also, multiple approaches allows us to triangulate and validate the results from the different techniques among one another.
We do not have a lab nor do we intend to use one in the near future. As much as we are able to do so, we are firm believers in observing and understanding the actual context in which people use our products.
Saving images is slow, and I cannot figure out why. I usually just save pictures that are ALREADY DISPLAYED. Why is copying the file out of the cache folder 1000x fasater than right-click->save as? Your anti-virus software, if you have any, might be at fault here. Try disabling it, and seeing if this persists.

Also work in a support, and very often advice people to change to Firefox. Your new .pdf browser really makes the difference when having to choose between Chrome and Firefox, when changing from IE. Link to limi.net
As for improvements to it, my biggest issue was that if you opened a ton of tabs\windows (to the point where it became slow), you couldn't speed it up again by just closing tabs\windows. The only reason I can think this happens is that the tabs are kept in memory until you restart the browser. Perhaps I'm wrong, but if that's the case, couldn't you just keep a list of the closed windows\tabs page addresses, and re-connect to them? If not, go to Link to support.mozilla.org and we can help fix those crashes for you. Just making sure, you did a reset too?
If you enter "about:crashes" in the URL bar, you should see a list of reported crashes. If you've still got entries there, post a few recent IDs here (or PM me), and I'll take a look to see if it indicates what might be wrong.
Chrome starts up almost instantly... Firefox always takes a good 5-10 seconds to start up... just wondering if you guys have plans to implement faster start up? That's an unacceptably slow start time. Have you tried resetting Firefox?
If Firefox takes 5-10 seconds to start up, there's definitely something wrong.

I don't see any way to pop them out into another window like Chrome, which is extremely helpful. On the latest Nightly, there is a button next to the close button of the Devtools console that pops it open into a new window. Not sure what release this is in, but it's coming.
I don't see anything for profiling JS/CSS/etc A JS profiler has been added to Firefox 20, currently in beta.
When there is too much horizontal pressure on the tabs, Firefox uses a carousel combined with a drop down that shows all the tabs. IE will use a carousel without a dropdown. Chrome will just shrink the tabs and will eventually prevent you from browsing any new tabs created. What were the reasons that lead you towards selecting a carousel and dropdown? What kind of telemetry do you see with users actually filling the tabs and using the overflow features? Do they use the dropdown often in those cases, or rely more often on the carousel? Actually, we have plans for improving that part. Most of it was done before we had any user behavior information at all, and it turns out it's not exactly optimal. (Not that other browsers do better :)
I was under the impression that tab groups were more or less unsupported at this point. Eg, nobody working on fixing bugs or improving the integration with app tabs and other things. Is this not true? What are the future plans for them? It is kind of stopped now since we are figuring out a plan to move it forward. It's definitely on the list of things that need some design love :)
Any plans to integrate support of Remote Web Workplace? I'd never use IE again if I could initiate "Connect to a Computer" option through remote web workplace on Mozilla. I'm not sure but I think its ActiveX. You are correct, Remote Web Workplace is ActiveX. ActiveX cant be run in Firefox and there are no plans to integrate that (It's a proprietary Microsoft technology that is very insecure and bad for the web).

I have a pet peeve / interface suggestion if that's ok. I kind of dislike that the options window is a separate, "pop-up" window, and not integrated into a tab (kind of like the add-ons manager is). Is it possible to change this in the future? While not a programmer myself, I understand enough that, probably, the first method one might consider in making this happen is to allow changing of settings via html or whatever (so that it could be put into the tab like a webpage might), but that could open firefox up to security vulnerabilities and other problems. One reason I would like to get rid of the popup options window though is that I sometimes need to change my font size minimums in order to view some pages properly. I prefer to leave them around 18-point for better readability, but some sites' formatting makes the words/labels bleed out of their boxes that they've so strictly designed to fit 12-point and nothing else. So I was thinking it might be nice to leave the options window open... but you can't do anything like browse or change tabs while it is open as a popup, especially when it stays on top of the browser window. If it was a tab though, it would be no problem. Also, I am aware of, and use, add-ons like No-Squint and such, but they don't always help due to a page's "over-done formatting". Plus I guess I just kinda have my own way of doing things though, you know? Well, there's my $0.02. We're doing exactly that! The preferences will be moved to a tab.
Guys I really do not have any. I love firefox. But if I had to ask you...You guys ever thought about incorporating ghostery into the standard package? We've made several changes in that direction (e.g. Do Not Track), and stopped accepting cookies from third-party providers (unless you have visited their site already). Implementing all of what Ghostery does would probably massively break the web. When you have a few hundred million users, you have to move carefully with these things. The web is (for better or worse) an advertising economy.
As for me personally — yes, I think we need to do even more. But it's more complex than it appears at first glance. :)
I use a master password in FF, but when the wrong pass is entered cookies are still retained, so another user could get into Facebook (for example). I know I can log out of FB daily but that sucks. Can we make the master password close the cookie jar? Yeah, Master Password needs a redesign.
Blake can you link me to bugs/wikimo pages about that? Looks like it'll have serious implications for my new tab add-on. I don't think there is any of that yet. The prototype is mostly stuff that UX is playing around with to see if we can make that page better for users. But throw me some email (at my username at mozilla.com), and I'll let you know when stuff moves forward…
What are your opinions on the add on Add Blocker and the possible income it takes away from websites? AdBlock actually allows unobtrusive ads, so I like the way it forces ad agencies to play nicer.
For me this is usually just a timing issue. I open it too fast after closing, and it works fine when I try again. So can you not just have the new process wait a second after the first failure and then try again before popping the error? That's a good idea. Yes, something along these lines might be a good mitigating solution.

What is the deal with "Plug in container"? It fucks up all the time and eats all my memory. Ever since you guys added that Firefox has kinda sucked. That's Flash sucking, not Firefox.
Not a peeve, but an idea I'd like to see: Being able to easily identify which open tab is producing sound. More than once I've had to close down my browser because some ad with sound started playing and I couldn't find which ad on which page was playing it. Curiously enough, I just got email about this. Someone has a patch that adds a global volume control, and controls to mute all the tabs, or all the non-visible tabs. So that's certainly something we'll be looking into… :)

It's quite annoying when you exit out of Firefox then immediately try to open it again it gives you the "Firefox is already running in another process" error. Other than that, love Firefox! Yeah, that does suck indeed.
What's happening is that Firefox is still in the process of closing, even though the window has disappeared. When you try to re-open Firefox, it flips out, because the first process hasn't finished up yet.
The performance team is working hard on this on the "exit(0)" project. It's a P1 goal. You can track our progress in this bug. (make sure to follow Bugzilla etiquette if it's your first time).

I wish sync was easier to use/understand. I just want to to put in my username and password and have my browsers sync across all PC's that use. We definitely agree and there is very active work going on to make this happen. Please stay tuned!

One of the things that I wanted to tackle when I started at Mozilla was re-doing sync because I thought it was really cool, but an impenetrable user experience for most users. Turns out, looking at our data it is an impenetrable user experience for most users.
It is in the process of being completely redone and integrating other data services that you would want to sync among your devices.
Sync is such a mess im amazed it got the get-go to roll. I'm an IT guy myself, but even I hate it so much that I use chrome at times when I need this functionality. You're not the only one. I don't think anyone likes it in its current state. (and yes, then the question is… why did it ship?)

One wish: manually control if i want a PDF to be viewed in firefox or downloaded. It seems that the website usually decides this and it is annoying as hell when they guess wrong. Thanks! You can tell Firefox what to do with PDFs in the Options (or Preferences) dialog, under the "Applications" pane.
Find "PDF" in that list, and then set the action on the right.
I don't know if this is a known bug, but anytime I'm on a page with a Flash player, particularly YouTube, I can no longer use my computer's volume control buttons. Flash integration is always a pain, and especially around focus issues. Flash is allowed to steal keyboard shortcuts etc, which is very frustrating. It was our #1 paper cut issue three years ago, and it still is. Luckily, Flash is slowly disappearing. That doesn't mean we shouldn't do everything we can to fix this issue in the meantime, though. (Both IE and Chrome have a different version of Flash than the one we have to use, which makes things complicated.) This has been a reoccurring issue since Flash 11.3 was released. Can you go to about:addons and see what version of Flash is installed? I just checked mine and I actually had 2 (?!) versions of Flash installed (11.5 and 11.6). Uninstalling Flash through the Control Panel (on Windows) and reinstalling clean from Adobe's site gave me Flash 11.6 and I can no longer reproduce the bug. I hope that helps.

Flash hijacks most keyboard input, so even commands like control-w (to close the tab) don't work. I know this has an open ticket (and has for a while) but I would really love to see it fixed. Me too!
We have people working on it as we speak! You will see a better new tab soon. And for now you can hide the boxes by clicking on the grid thing on the upper right of the page. A terrible-looking example of one of the designs we're looking into is at this prototype page.

I was kinda confused when I would do my normal Ctrl Shift P and it now pops up a Private WINDOW instead of closing the regular window altogether and opening a purple private one. Now it's just too easy to close up when you're done. You don't have to restart all your tabs! I get kinda confused when I hit Cmd-Shift-[ to switch tabs, and get a new Private Window, cause my fingers are shifted over a key… ;)

Having the options and settings in the upper left hand under "Firefox" is confusing and the opposite of Chrome and Internet Explorer in Windows, which leads to training headaches with users. We're moving the menu to the right side, see the Australis redesign project.
